Therapists and Social Services
One of the things that Children of Trauma are often provided, when they are adopted through social services, is a therapist. Therapy is critical to these kids helping work there way though issues that may have occurred even before the child could speak. These services are normally already arranged wtih another organization that has therapists and psychiatrists that will take Medicaid. But unfortunately there is often regular turn over of therapists as they "cut their teeth" and move onto bigger things. The net result for the child is losing a therapist fairly regularly.
Has your child experienced this kind of situation? If so, how has it affected him or her? How have you dealt with the situation?

Some may say that having a number of therapists would give you different perspectives on your kiddo. My opinion is - find one that you can stay with and will stay with you -- and make sure you agree up front how the therapy goes (avoiding the desire to move to someone else). The results and progress should not just be in the therapist's notes - it should be shared with the parent.
If you have a kiddo with RAD - you need to take the initiative and find the therapist that will stay in your kiddo's life. Going through multiple therapists is almost as bad as going through different caregivers.
I think you're right that people (kids included) need as much stability as possible when going through therapy. Your relationship with a therapist is one of trust. Even those who are not traumatised need time to trust new people. With a child who has abandonment issues is going to feel abandoned every time he/she is forced into a new therapist relationship. This breaks the cycle of healing.
